CPR and First Aid
Approximately a 6-hour comprehensive course designed to fulfill the certification needs of a wide variety of lay rescuers and healthcare professionals. CPR techniques for patients aged newborn through adult; AED use for patients of all ages; two-rescuer CPR/AED use; rescue breathing with pocket mask and BVM system, with and without advanced airway; and choking relief for all ages. Upon successful course completion, with a passing score on the written exam, students receive an AHA certification eCard valid for two years. (Course cost includes the student manual.)

Adult/Child/Infant
Approximately a 6 hour comprehensive course designed to teach members of the general public correct CPR techniques for use on adults, children and infants. The course also includes the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) as an important part of the CPR sequence for adults, children and infants. Students learn how to relieve choking in a responsive or unresponsive adult, child and infant, and how to use a barrier device to prevent contamination during rescue breathing. This course satisfies the CPR requirement for childcare providers in the State of Maryland. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certification card valid for two years.
